Many teams play a role in successfully delivering and installing Mazak machines. When a new machine order comes in, Mazak team members promptly begin working on fulfilling the order. Behind the scenes, Mazak's Sales Administration team works together to purchase and ship necessary equipment to the installation site. As Traffic Assistant Manager, Am Ashida oversees on-time machine delivery for a timely installation.

What is your background involving laser machines and the fabrication industry?
"In Thailand, I obtained my Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a focus in international business. After graduating in 2004, I began working in business development at a trading and manufacturing company. My family relocated to the United States in 2012, and I worked at a freight forwarding company before getting the opportunity to work at Mazak in 2023."
What is your current role at Mazak?
“My position at Mazak is Traffic Assistant Manager. I oversee international logistics and domestic machine delivery to customers. Like other members in the Sales Administration department, I work with Mazak’s Purchasing department as a cross-functional team to ensure on-time machine and parts delivery for timely installation.”
What is your definition of great customer service?
"Great customer service is an attitude—a mindset to take ownership of helping both team members and customers. The feeling of accomplishment at the end of the day when you can be a helping hand for your department, company, and customers is unsurpassed. It’s having a caring heart, not just a role to follow based on a job description."
What are your hobbies and interest?
"My family and I love to travel! We love exploring new places and enjoy little adventures on our trips. My favorite places to visit so far have been Colorado and Paris. When we’re not traveling, our favorite activity is spending time with our fur babies, Happy and Harper!! We love to spoil them!"
What is one of your proudest achievements?
"My biggest accomplishment in life is raising a good, young gentleman with a golden heart who is smart and funny. My son is 17 years old and has a good attitude and a great personality. He is a straight A student who loves physics and hopes to use his love of the subject to create good for humanity. I am so proud and honored to be his mom."
