Dear Valued Mazak Customer,
As concerns and restrictions centering around the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak intensify, Mazak Optonics’s first priority continues to be the health and safety of our associates and their families. Yet, we remain committed to providing the highest level of customer service and support to you, our valued customer, and we are dedicated to doing everything we can to prevent interruptions to normal business operations.
I want to share how we are approaching this rapidly changing situation at Mazak. All of our associates worldwide have been strongly encouraged to work with customers through digital channels as much as possible. Here at our Illinois facility, operations continue at 100%, as do new machine installations and onsite repairs. All Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations, protocols and government regulations are being strictly adhered. We have contingency plans in place should further government restrictions be required. To ensure the health and safety of both our associates and customers, facility visits and customer training will continue to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
We have increased daily cleaning, sanitizing and janitorial procedures and continue to provide our team with all the preventive measures recommended by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We are also offering flexibility in terms of work schedules for those with challenges related to school closings and family requirements. We are asking our regional service and support personnel to minimize air travel and instead drive to customer locations. Our part inventory remains well stocked, and we continue to maintain our same day customer parts delivery operations.
Mazak Optonics will continue to share business-related updates with our associates and customers as quickly as possible through our website and social media channels. As always, our team is available to answer any questions. In the meantime, we encourage everyone to carefully follow the recommendations and guidelines of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
As we work together to mitigate the complications created by this pandemic, Mazak Optonics remains committed to supporting our customers and your continued success. When the situation improves, we will look forward to seeing all of you at one of our many planned local events highlighting new innovations in laser-cutting technology.
